THE GRAND TOUR
Graeme's House Bed & Breakfast in Vancouver BC is a charming country cottage on a quiet street in Kitsilano in Vancouver's West Side. Built in 1926, it retains the charm of its origins, while exhibiting many modern up-to date features. For example, the fireplace and polished hardwood floors hearken back to an earlier era, while the recently added spacious back deck brings contemporary comfort. You will enjoy the tasteful renovations that have been executed over the years in keeping with the architecture and the spirit of the original house.

Cheerful, with stencilled windows on two sides, newly designed fireplace and hardwood floors, the living room is your first place of entry. Stop to admire the bottle collection, mirrored windows and family photos. On a chilly day, relax with a cup of tea by the fire.
The Garden
Much of the recent landscaping was completed before 1985, when Graeme acquired the property. Since then existing flower beds have been extended and new ones added, enhancing the charm of the house. A distinctive arch welcomes you up the walkway. A blaze of azaleas and rhododendrons grace the path in the Spring. Begonias and bougainvillea crowd around the doorway with exotic colors all summer long.		 The Garden
The Kitchen The Kitchen
This is the ultimate family room and the hub of the home! Bright, with windows (all of them original to the house) and large skylight, the kitchen is where everybody gathers any time of the day. French doors lead to the spacious deck which is really a "roof garden" overlooking the back garden of mature trees. The blue glass collection on every window and the butter yellow walls provide a French Provincial flavor. A stained glass window of leaping salmon glows over the counter.
The Back Deck
Accessible from the kitchen-family room by French doors, the back deck is ablaze with colourful hanging baskets all summer long. There are many permanent trees and plants in pots on the deck, and lots of shady or sunny places to relax and visit, or enjoy a private moment. Breakfast is often served on the deck, weather permitting. Enjoy the mirrored windows here as well; such optical illusions lend mystery in subtle ways to both the house and garden. 		The Back Deck
